Can someone advise me about femulen pill?

i have been off an on it for the last 3 years..long story..but i know it says take it the first day of your period but i started taking mine again when my period had finished about 3 or 4 days after..would i have been ok?/..i went to the doctors the other day about my back and forgot to ask him so i thought id ask here?..thanks
