Atheists, Theists and others, what do you think of these quotes?

Enjoyed both and agree wholeheartedly with the latter it is a deluded fool that gives his life for one ruler in favour of another. My favourite is "I will die for freedom" am I the only one that sees this as somewhat unachievable?
