81 Camaro help, choosing a cam?

Im in the presses of rebuilding my camaros 350 motor and looking in to buying a higher performance cam but still pass emissions, just looking for a little more horse power every thing on the motor is pretty much stock but have an edelbrock carb. any other tips or ways to gain horse power with out having to bribe the emissions guys? haha
